Over My Head!

Greetings-

I want to first start off with an apology to everyone, I am truly sorry I haven’t posted anything lately, as the title says, I have been a bit OVER MY HEAD! Even though life has been crazy, life has also been amazingly wonderful lately. Just today I found myself wondering what on earth did I do for God to be so good to me?! I can explain…

Let’s see, at the beginning of March I had the opportunity to meet & spend the night with the National FFA Officer team at Champion Ranch in Centerville. This was such a fun time and I can assure you that our organization is in the hands of 6 great and very talented individuals. One of my favorite parts about the weekend was just getting to hear each of their stories and how they got to where they are now. They are each a living example of hard work paying off.

As I look through my calendar of what I did next, Spring Break in New York City comes next! Man, what an awesome trip this was! After spending 5 days there, I rememberd just how much I love the city. My all time dream is to one day be able to live and work in downtown NY. People call me crazy, but I just stand in awe of the lifestyle difference compared to here in good ole’ Texas! I must not leave out one huge part, the Britney Spears concert! Yes, I went to a Britney Spears concert! Go ahead and laugh, but it was the coolest thing ever. I did sort of feel like I was walking in to a Miley Cyrus concert though with all the thousands of screaming girls everywhere!

After recovering from my NY trip, it was time to hit the road for Area Travel. I spent 2 weeks on the road traveling to 3 High Schools a day. I have to be honest, I was not very excited about having 2 weeks worth of make-up work, but it ended up not being bad at all. It was a true joy to get to meet so many FFA members and visit so many different schools across the state. Just a side note, if we came to your school and took a picture, I uploaded all of those to my Facebook page so please feel free to tag yourself!

After 2 weeks on the road and lots & lots of miles, I then headed to Austin for the Texas Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this, it was an amazing and very benefical weekend. Students from many different universities all across Texas gathered to further their knowledge on leadership, relationships, the importance of service, and many other things. When I left Austin on Sunday afternoon, I felt very refreshed and motivated to begin facing life again. If you ever have the opportunity to attend, I HIGHLY encourage it!

This past week was my first week in College Station in over 3 weeks, crazy! I had 4 tests to make-up and I know that God was by my side the entire time. Something even more crazy, is that my Retiring Address for State Convention is due one week from today! Several months ago I thought I knew exactly what I was going to do, now… Not a Clue. I was telling someone today that I just feel lost in the direction I need to go. Needless to say, I have spent a lot of time in prayer lately and I’m hoping I will be able to present this “picture perfect” RA that I have in my head!! I hope that each of you had a wonderful Easter with your friends and family. Summer is getting closer every day!!!! Yay! At the end of next week, we will be traveling to the State CDE contests, so Good Luck to any of you who advanced and I hope to see you there! Good Luck to any of you running for offices as well. Be Blessed

With Love,
Macy
